Intel Brasil, Dell OEM Solution, and Avnet Embedded and Systrade Tecnologia, Brazilian company who developed the Digifort software, brought 2012 to an end with a great innovation for the Brazilian technological distribution and integration market.  Together, the companies formed the union of the year in this segment and announced the “Approved Surveillance Servers and Clients (Appliances) for Digifort”. It is a ground-breaking partnership for the supply of certified equipment and solutions to be used in specific video-surveillance, electronic security and digital image analysis projects.

.

From now on, technological integrators have the chance of getting from Avnet Embedded, leading company in the segment of distribution and integration of computer solutions, servers and clients for image recording and surveillance in exclusive projects for Digifort.  Among the options offered are cutting-edge computers from Dell OEM Solutions and integrated solutions developed by Avnet, using Intel boards and processors.  The equipment is certified by Systrade and count with the support, warranty and quality of all the partners involved in the program.

.

In the past, integrators were left on their own to search for computers for use in their video-surveillance solutions, resulting in costs related to the search and management of suppliers, besides the required time to install the operational system and the Digifort software.  With this partnership they are able to get a complete system, also known as appliance, standardizing the range of equipment and generating savings in indirect costs.  The indication of which appliance is the best recommended for each integrator is done through the new version of the “Digifort Project Calculator (Digifort Design Tool)”, entirely reformulated to ease browsing by the user.

.

Even though the calculator offers personalized equipment for the Digifort appliance, its operational flexibility favors the integrators’ daily routine.  Regardless of the chosen option, they will have total liberty to choose the desired manufacturer and even of building their own server, according to the information presented in their projects within the Digifort Design Tools.

.

During the launching event, Intel’s Latin American bundled product marketing manager presented figures on the world scene for electronic security and video-surveillance.  Irio Bertolini also spoke about the Digifort appliance, technological trends in the continent and the company’s focus of work in this region.  “This is an innovating project for the market and one that brings together what the four companies can best offer.  They are products previously validated for use with Digifort, customized by Dell OEM Solutions and commercially integrated by Avnet Embedded, bringing security, commodity and competitive prices for the integrators’ security projects”.

According to stats from ABESE (Associação Brasileira das Empresas de Sistemas Eletrônicos de Segurança / Brazilian Association of Companies in Electronic Security Systems), the segment moved approximately R$ 3.7 billion in 2011, through over 18 thousand companies, creating about 200 thousand direct jobs and over 1.7 million indirect ones.  Data from IMS Research projects that until 2016, the Brazilian IP security equipment market will grow 29.4%, making Brazil responsible for about one third of the total investments in the Americas.  Some factors have directly impacted in this growth, such as the increase in criminality at urban centers and the large-scale sporting events that will take place in the country over the next few years.

.

Furthermore, the increasing use of technologies such as high-definition cameras, automatic image analysis (like OCR license plate recognition, counting of people or events) and remote information management creates an important demand for the new generation of Intel products and technologies.  “Growing an average of 40% per year, this market is increasingly becoming more strategic for us.  Now, supported by prestigious brands and backed by the technical competence and commercial support that the project anticipates, our outlook is very positive.  An example of this is the Digifort project calculator Design Tool, resized in favor of this union”, states Bertolini.

.

“In the first semester of 2012, we established a partnership with Intel for the development of Digifort solutions in their processors. We were certain that this union would be a successful one.  Our forecast was confirmed and now we are widening the market possibilities with the arrival of Dell OEM and Avnet Embedded, brands carrying an excellent reputation.  The user will also have total freedom in choosing the hardware of his choice.  License commercialization and purchase continues with the traditional authorized Digifort distributors in Brazil and abroad.  With this project, we are providing the market with a universe of possibilities”, emphasizes Carlos Eduardo Bonilha, Systrade’s executive director.

.

Bonilha also presented the public present with some of the history that consolidated Digifort as the first Brazilian IP surveillance software.  Éric Fleming Bonilha, Digifort’s development director, clarified doubts and demonstrated the ease in operation, architecture and project that the Digifort Design tool can freely offer to integrators.  Next, Fernando Cesar; Dell’s accounts executive, and Alex Castellano; Avnet’s accounts manager, also lectured about the benefits, rules and differentials that the new partnership will provide the Brazilian market in the years ahead.

“We are launching our OEM solutions in Brazil with this project.  It is the first time Dell develops an appliance for a 100% Brazilian software.  This is why that this alliance is relevant for us and we find great pleasure in being part of it.  We will provide rack servers, fixed or desktop stations, certified by Digifort, with processing by Intel and configured by Avnet, Dell’s global partner in OEM solutions.  Additionally, with the “White Box” policy, the customer will be able to customize the equipment with his own brand, backed by warranty, technical support and SLA from all of us.  We planned all of this in order to allow the integrator to concern himself only with the well-being of the projects with the clients”, highlights Cesar.

.

“Avnet has been in the technological solutions market since 1921.  We make our global presence felt by means of distribution and integration centers in the Americas, Europe and Oceania.  We have similar structures in Brazil, where we perform testing, assembling and distribution of software and equipment.  This capacity for service was predominant for our participation in this important partnership.  We also possess ease of communication with the partners involved, directly favoring the end user.  Besides the technical and logistic support, we will provide financial, legal and tax support in order to enable the integrators to have access to the market’s different credit lines”, concludes Castellano.
